  • Hiring and supervising subcontractors: A general contractor will typically hire and manage a team of subcontractors to perform specific tasks on the project, such as electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, tiling, painting, etc...

  • Scheduling and coordination: A general contractor will create a schedule for the project and coordinate the work of all subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.

  • Obtaining permits and inspections: A general contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and arranging for all required inspections.

  • Quality control: A general contractor will ensure that all work is performed to a high standard and that all materials used meet the necessary specifications.
