ABOUT US
Hello
My name is Brian Mckellar.
I am the founder and owner of Clear Pine Contracting Inc.
As a contractor with a passion for building science, carpentry, and construction, I have spent the past almost 10 years honing my skills and developing a deep understanding of the intricacies of construction. By working for other reputable general contractors in my earlier years, I have worked on a wide range of projects and developed a versatile skill set that allows me to tackle any challenge that comes my way.
My love for building science began at a young age when I was fascinated by the process of turning raw materials into beautiful, functional structures. This fascination led me to complete a civil engineering program. During my time in school, I worked part-time and summers as a carpenter/laborer and fell in love with working hands-on on projects. Over time, I honed my carpentry skills and began to take on larger and more complex projects, always striving to learn new techniques and push myself to new heights.
Today, I am proud to be a contractor with a reputation for excellence and craftsmanship. I am committed to using only the highest quality materials and techniques, and I take great pride in delivering projects that exceed my client's expectations.
Whether you are looking to build a new home from the ground, need help with a renovation or remodel, or something small like building a deck, I am confident that I have the skills and expertise to deliver outstanding results. So why not get in touch today to discuss your project and see how I can help bring your vision to life?
OUR PROCESS
At Clear Pine Contracting, we take great value of our client's time and budgets. We understand that undergoing even a small renovation can be very stressful and overwhelming so we try to address all of those concerns before work ever starts by making sure we have a clear picture of what everyone wants. Our process follows a sequence of six steps to ensure everything regarding your project is planned for and executed as smoothly as possible.
1. Consultation & Concept
This is where every project begins! We start by gathering preliminary general information on a phone call and set up a free project consultation, where we will discuss the project in detail on-site with all decision makers and develop goals, wants and needs, timelines, budgets and options for your project.
We will discuss budgets and options for each budget, then determine which fits your situation and goals best. Once we have a set budget, concept, and timeline, we can then move on to the design phase.
2. Design & Material Selections
In this phase, we get the working drawings, material selections, layouts, specifications, and any other information required in order to properly quote your project's costs. Projects are priced based on the selections and designs you choose in this process, therefore we can guide and assist in making those selections to ensure you stay on budget. We will also provide a list of everything you will need to select for your given job, and the best places for you to find them to save you time and stress.
3. Quote & Contract
Once all of the project details have been finalized, we can then draft a fixed price quote for the project based on the selections and design chosen. We will also draft a contract with the scope of work, final price, payment schedules, and project conditions of work for review and signatures.
4. Job Scheduling & Preperation
After a contract is signed for your project, we will begin setting up the job. This includes ordering materials, scheduling subcontractors, acquiring necessary permits, preparing the site and more.
We also schedule an initial meeting with all contractors, trades and designers involved to walk through the project and discuss the details of the project to ensure everyone is on the same page.
5. Construction
During this phase, the work is carried out. We use a combination of in-house carpentry combined with the coordination of subcontractors and specialty trades to provide our clients with the most professional results possible. Regular site meetings are conducted with clients depending on your project's specific needs.
We maintain a close eye on the work being done and keep you constantly updated on progress.
6. Post Construction
After the work is complete, we will compile a project file for you to keep with references to all aspects of your project. This will include pictures of the project at different phases, product details, manuals and warranties, as well as operation and maintenance advise as needed. This can also help save time and costs with future projects as you can easily see what was done and where once everything is closed up.
